WASHINGTON, DC—Washington Post chief executive and publisher Frederick Ryan and executive editor Martin Baron have joined the line-up for The Holmes Report’s upcoming PRovoke18 event, which takes place at the historic Watergate Hotel this month.

Ryan (pictured) and Baron will take the stage during a session sponsored by Burson Cohn & Wolfe. BCW chairman Don Baer will host the first joint interview featuring The Washington Post's CEO and publisher Fred Ryan and executive editor Martin Baron to examine how they use innovative journalism and disruptive technology to manage the media giant through a time of transformation in the industry.

A provisional agenda for the conference has been published at the PRovoke18 website.

Frederick J. Ryan, Jr. is publisher and chief executive officer of The Washington Post. Previously, he was co-founder and chief executive officer of Politico, and has extensive experience in politics: he served as chief of staff to former President Ronald Reagan; was assistant to the President of the United States, directing Presidential appointments and scheduling; and was director of the White House private sector initiatives program.

Martin “Marty” Baron became executive editor of The Washington Post in 2013 and oversees The Post’s print and digital news operations and a staff of more than 800 journalists.
