SAN FRANCISCO — UK firm Brands2Life, the Holmes Report's 2016 Global Tech Agency of the Year, has launched US operations by opening an office in San Francisco.

The office is Brands2Life's first outside the UK, from where it has submitted an exceptional performance over the past few years, winning EMEA Tech Consultancy of the Year three times in the row, and taking home the coveted UK Consultancy of the Year award last year.

The independent firm, which reported revenue growth of 12% to $17m in 2016 according to our Global Top 250 Agency Ranking, has hired Rene Musech (pictured) from Liberty Communications to lead its new San Francisco office.

In addition to providing US media and influencer relations for the firm's UK and European clients, Brands2Life has also secured three US launch accounts: Collinson Group, Fairsail, and Informa's Internet of Things World 2017.

"Over 50% of Brands2Life’s current work is international and involves strategy, integrated communications, content creation for digital and social channels, international co-ordination and implementation," said co-founder Giles Fraser. "Our expansion to the US enables us to serve our clients on the ground on both sides of the Atlantic and further our ability to provide the industry’s best international campaign support."

Founded by Fraser and Sarah Scales in 2000, Brands2Life has grown to become one of the world's top technology PR firms, bolstered by credible consumer and digital capabilities. "Clients have repeatedly asked when we are going to bring our unique approach to the US and our Better Stories | Bigger Impact  offering," said Scales. "With the opening of our San Francisco office we are now meeting that need."

Brands2Life's US expansion will not be without challenges; few UK PR firms have succeeded across the pond, although most of the casualties have involved consumer boutiques that have attempted to take on New York.
