LONDON — WE Communications has been appointed by Amcor, the world’s largest global packaging company, to support its US and Europe content marketing programme.

The account, worth six figures in euros, was won after a competitive pitch; there was no incumbent agency.

WE’s content creation and management programme will target Amcor’s B2B audiences, including in the food, beverage, healthcare and personal care sectors, via social media, direct marketing, influencer outreach, and executive communications.

Amcor’s global director of external relations Melinda de Boer said: “Millions of people around the world interact with Amcor packaging every day. Our packaging protects world-leading products, while increasingly protecting the environment. With WE’s expertise, we are more effectively reaching people and helping them make informed decisions about packaging, protecting the environment, and ecommerce, among other topics.”

Marcus Sorour, VP international client services at WE, said: “There is a real opportunity for Amcor to tell its story and have a distinct voice at a time when packaging is at the forefront of public consciousness.”

Ruth Allchurch, who joined WE as UK managing director in June, added: “This win underscores WE’s capabilities beyond traditional public relations – playing to our strengths in branded content and channel agnostic communications.”
