SINGAPORE, April 18—Weber Shandwick Worldwide has expanded its relationship with Hewlett-Packard in the Asia-Pacific region. The agency is now responsible for communications for the majority of product lines within H-P’s business customer organization and for the company’s consumer business organization  and corporate communications division.

“As HP was one of our largest clients last year, the new business divisions represent an extremely important win for us,” said Andrew Pirie, managing director of Weber Shandwick Worldwide, Singapore.  “We made a strong case about the benefits of consolidating HP’s communications requirements with a single agency.”

According to Ivy Liang, marketing communications director for H-P’s business customer sales organization, ”The thrust of our communications effort will reinforce HP’s business strategy, which focuses on e-services, and an Internet infrastructure that is ‘always on.’”
