SAN FRANCISCO — Zeno is ending its three-year relationship with Salesforce as the DJE firm has decided not to re-pitch the business, the Holmes Report has learned.
Zeno displaced Nectar Communications as Salesforce's product and corporate agency in 2017, shortly after Corey DuBrowa joined the cloud giant as CCO. DuBrowa left Salesforce to lead communications at Google less than a year later.
The latest review comes more than a year after AT&T's Brad Burns joined Salesforce, replacing DuBrowa. It is understood that FleishmanHillard, AT&T's longtime agency, is among the agencies involved in the Salesforce pitch.
The review covers Salesforce's corporate and product business and is expected to be decided in the coming weeks.
In recent years, the $130bn software company has emerged as a leading advocate for corporate activism under CEO Marc Benioff, who has publicly opposed LGBT discrimination and supported such initiatives as a national privacy law and a payroll tax to raise money for homeless programmes in Salesforce's HQ city of San Francisco. Benioff also recently decided to stop selling Salesforce software to retailers that sell military-style rifles in their stores.
Meanwhile, Salesforce's most recent profit forecast fell short of Wall Street estimates, amid continued global expansion, fuelled by acquisitions and partnerships.
Salesforce and Zeno declined to comment for this story.
