As executive director of group communications at Mubadala, Brian Lott oversees a mandate that is as broad as it is deep for the Abu Dhabi-owned government investment vehicle. Responsible for stewardship of the Mubadala brand and management of the group’s corporate communications requirements, Lott’s work involves operations across real estate, mining and aerospace, calling for a particularly nuanced understanding of local communities and social impact.

Lott began his career in Washington DC, where he served as chief of staff, spokesman and campaign manager for two members of Congress. He is a published author and former journalist. Before joining Mubadala, Lott worked at global public relations firm Burson-Marsteller for ten years.

Notable career highlight?
Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Freedom Rides,  traveling through the south on a Greyhound bus with Congressman John Lewis, CNN and other original Freedom Riders
