With 15 years of experience in advertising – both in-house and on the agency side, as art director at Toth & Co for six years – Duncan has built brands in the fashion and toy industries, with a focus on brand turnarounds.

As head of global marketing communications at Mattel, Kristina Duncan has responsibility for all global branding, advertising, retail merchandising and digital creative for the Barbie brand.

Duncan joined Mattel in 2005 and has held roles including senior manager, international brand design, and global creative director of Barbie. Her recent initiatives have included the successful “Imagine the Possibilities” campaign, which aimed to drive business and change perception of Barbie as a brand that “exists to inspire and nurture the limitless potential in all girls.”
