The 18th international forum on communications — the Baltic Weekend — will be held in Saint-Petersburg on September 20 – 21. Communication experts, senior managers of the largest companies, high-level officials and famous media representatives will discuss major industry trends, further prospects of market development, modern technologies and tools, and main events of the last year.

The Baltic Weekend is the largest international forum on communications in Central and Eastern Europe, bringing together the national and international experts in PR, marketing and advertising. The forum is organized by the SPN Communications agency.

During its 18 years of existence more than 8000 participants from 40 countries have visited events of the Forum, more than 1000 experts have shared their presentations during plenary sessions, and around 110 round tables have been dedicated to the development of communication industry in Russia and abroad.

Since 2017, the Baltic Weekend has widened its geography of coverage by introducing forums outside Saint-PetersburgNow, the Baltic Weekend is held twice a year: autumn in Saint-Petersburg,  and in spring, another city. This spring it was decided to hold the forum in Kaliningrad, attracting more than 100 industry specialists. The forum agenda covered the most challenging and vital questions of the communication industry: the impact of digital technologies and artificial intelligence on marketing, regional branding, tendencies in digital and social media, GR effectiveness and so forth.

The Saint-Petersburg forum annually brings together more than 500 communication industry specialists from different corners of the world – from CIS countries to South America. Last year's speakers included Yury Dud, Editor-in-Chief, Sports.ru, Andrey Barannikov, CEO, SPN Communications, Maxim Behar, General Director, M3 Communications Group Inc., Alexander Ivlev, Managing Partner, EY Russia, Elena Mas, Client Director, Bloomberg Media, Zanna Dembo, Deputy PR Director, “Zenit” football club and many other industry leaders.

The Baltic Weekend's 2018 agenda promises to be eventful. Industry experts will explore national and international issues, analyze the latest changes in the communications market and make predictions about future turnarounds.

On September the 20, the Baltic Weekend will feature the PROBA ICCO GLOBAL PR Awards 2018. The venue is the Atrium of the General Staff Building.
