PRovoke16: Global PR Summit

The Holmes Report's Global Public Relations Summit —now in its fifth year —is the most important event in the global communications world’s calendar. A high-level forum designed for senior practitioners to address the critical issues facing the profession and the companies it serves, the Summit attracts a diverse group of top-tier speakers and delegates from across the globe.

The fifth annual Global Public Relations Summit, will take place in Miami this October. The event—which has attracted more than 400 industry leaders from more the 35 countries around the world in each of the past four years—is being rebranded as PRovoke16, building on feedback spotlighting the provocative and challenging nature of the event content as one factor that sets it apart from other industry conferences.

Partners for the 2016 edition include top 15 firms Edelman, Weber Shandwick, FleishmanHillard, Ketchum, Burson-Marsteller, MSLGroup, Hill+Knowlton Strategies,Ogilvy PR, Golin, Havas PR, and Cohn & Wolfe. They include PR agencies owned by each of the big five industry holding groups.

Other partners include a host of international leaders including Adfactors (India); Atrevia and Llorente & Cuenca (Spain and Latin America); Finn Partners, Global Strategy Group, M Booth (US); Strategic Public Relations Group (Hong Kong); and international agency WE Communications.

The Independent PR Firm Forum, an event for PR agency founders and principals that precedes the Summit proper, will once again be sponsored by thenetworkone and Davis & Gilbert.

PRovoke16: The 2016 Global PR Summit, will take place at the St Regis Bal Harbour in Miami once again on October 25 and 26, with the Independent PR Firm Forum on October 24. Tickets for both events—and the Global SABRE Awards dinner on the evening of October 26—are on sale now.

Some of the names to have graced the Global PR Summit stage include Procter & Gamble's Marc Pritchard, IBM's Jon Iwata, Sir Martin Sorrell, authors Douglas Rushkoff and Steven Berlin Johnson, Harvard's Sarah Lewis, CP+B's Chuck Porter, game designer Jane McGonigal and senior figures from the likes of AT&T, Bayer, Cargill,  FedEx, HSBC, Huawei, Kimberly-Clark, Koch Industries, Lenovo, Mashable, the New York Times, Patagonia, Oracle, Sinopec, Target, Telefonica, Temasek, Tupperware, the UN Foundation, Vice, Visa, Walmart and the Washington Post. Last year's Summit focused on “Culture and Character: The Keys to Authentic Brand-Building,” and took place on October 26-28, 2015 at the St. Regis Bal Harbour Hotel in Miami.
