DENVER—Technology public relations firm 104 West Partners has enhanced its focus on new media with the addition of a dedicated practice. The firm has appointed Elaine Schoch as director of emerging media to oversee the practice.

Says Patrick Ward, partner and chief strategic officer: “As new media becomes an increasingly vital communications platform for our clients, it is important for us to have a dedicated emphasis to support our clients in this ever-changing medium.”

Prior joining 104 West, Schoch was an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado in Boulder where she taught the introduction to public relations. She previously led public relations and marketing communications efforts for ServiceMagic.com and earlier worked for firms including Schenkein, Ogilvy Public Relations and GolinHarris.
