MIAMI—The third Global Public Relations Summit will take place once again in Miami, from October 27-30, 2014, focusing on 'Game Changers' — the companies, people and ideas that are transforming the world of communications.
“Over the past couple of years, it has become clear to us that the most interesting and provocative speakers at the Summit have been those people presenting new research and new ideas that point to new ways of communicating,” says Paul Holmes, CEO of The Holmes Group, which presents the Global Summit. “We are looking to pack this year’s agenda with those ‘game changers’ to present the most challenging and stimulating agenda to date.”
The event will take place once again at the St Regis Bal Harbour resort in Miami, which has hosted the two previous Global PR Summits.
Last year's event attracted almost 400 senior-level industry attendees, including keynote speakers such as Sir Martin Sorrell, Randi Zuckerberg and Douglas Rushkoff. The PRSummit launched in 2012, led by keynote addresses from P&G's Marc Pritchard and IBM's Jon Iwata.
Once again, the event will include the majority of the world’s largest public relations firms as partners, including global agencies Burson-Marsteller, Cohn & Wolfe, FleishmanHillard, GolinHarris, Ketchum, MSLGroup, Ogilvy Public Relations, Weber Shandwick and leading firms from four continents: Blue Focus and Strategic Public Relations Group from Asia; Citizen Relations, MDC Partners, Marina Maher Communications, and Mitchell Communications Group from North America; Imagem Corporativa from Latin America; and Llorente & Cuenca from Spain, with offices in Portugal and throughout LatAm.
The 2014 event will also include the third Independent Public Relations Firm Forum, which will once again be presented in partnership with thenetworkone and will focus on the critical issues facing PR entrepreneurs from around the world.
The Global PR Summit also features the Global SABRE Awards, which recognises the 50 best PR campaigns in the world, as drawn from the world's largest PR awards competition. The awards ceremony, on the evening of October 29, will also celebrate the Holmes Report's 2014 Global Agencies of the Year, which will be announced later this year.
Registration for the event will be open from the end of this week, with an early bird price of $1,695 (compared to the regular price of $2,095) available until June 1.
