FedBid, a leading online marketplace for public sector acquisition of commercial items, has selected the technology practice of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide to manage its communications program.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—FedBid, a leading online marketplace for public sector acquisition of commercial items, has selected the technology practice of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide to manage its communications program after a competitive bid process that included several other D.C. area firms.

SEATTLE—MWW Group will work with Perkins Coie, the Northwest’s leading law firm, to develop a strategic public relations and branding campaign aimed at key market segments in the Pacific Northwest.  MWW also will identify and help coordinate other marketing opportunities for the firm. 

NEW YORK—Lou Hammond & Associates has added seven new clients: Great Wolf Resorts, a leader in indoor waterpark destination resorts; Hampton Island Retreat, an exclusive, low density, ecologically sensitive membership club on the coast of Georgia; the Rohm and Haas Paint Quality Institute, which educates consumers, contractors and retailers on the advantages of using high quality paints and coatings; The Lodge at Woodloch, a full-service luxury destination spa in the Northeast; SquidSoap, a specially-designed liquid soap and dispenser designed to teach children how to better wash their hands; FootSmart, which sells over 500 comfort, health and pain-relieving products; and Tavistock Group/The Gardens of Isleworth, an enclave of Mediterranean-style homes.

CHICAGO—Employco Group, a professional business process outsourcing company, has hired GreenTarget Global Group as its agency of record. GreenTarget will focus on business development, reputation management, media relations, events and marketing strategy.

RALEIGH—French/West/Vaughan has been retained by CeNeRx BioPharma, a start up biopharmaceutical company focused on developing new therapeutics for disorders of the central nervous system. As agency of record, FWV will oversee media relations and provide marketing counsel. CeNeRx recently closed on $18.5 million in venture capital funding. FWV will work closely with the CeNeRx management team to announce research and development milestones to target business and trade publications. The agency will also get involved in collateral development and branding work.

DALLAS—Jetstream Public Relations, which provides marketing and media relations to healthcare, high-tech and emerging growth companies, has been named agency of record by Medhost, a leading provider of healthcare technology. Jetstream will draw on its past industry expertise and relationships to provide Medhost with a communications strategy to support tradeshows, media outreach and marketing programs.
