NEW YORK—KCSA Worldwide has been selected as public relations agency of record for AdPack USA, an out- of-home marketing company specializing in promotional facial tissues, towelettes and wet towels. KCSA Worldwide will implement a strategic public relations campaign to further position the company in the advertising and marketing industries.  “We looked at numerous other firms but none came close to the background and expertise in our sector as KCSA,” says Steve Jacobs, president of AdPack USA. “We look forward to working with KCSA to expand our dialogue with the advertising community.”

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Carmen Group Communications, founded by Washington public relations veteran Victor Kamber, has added several event planning and public affairs accounts, including the National Association of Flood & Stormwater Management Agencies, for which Carmen will produce the Excellence in Communication Awards program; the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental & Reinforcing Iron Workers, for which the firm will handle event planning and production; Laborers International Union of North America, for event planning and production; Abbey Spanier Rodd Abrams & Paradis, for law firm marketing; and the International Association of Heat & Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers, for consultation and preparation for Congressional testimony.

MINNEAPOLIS—Marvin Windows & Doors, the Minnesota-based manufacturer of made-to-order wood and clad wood windows and doors, has retained Fast Horse to assist with marketing and brand-building initiatives. The firm will develop a variety of consumer- and trade-focused communications platforms and supporting programs for Marvin brands, including Infinity Replacement Windows and Integrity Windows & Doors.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Aker Partners has been selected to introduce the first all-natural paper coffee cup available in consumer outlets nationwide by Green Mountain Coffee Roasters of Vermont and International Paper. Conventional paper coffee cups are lined with a petrochemical-based plastic coating, but the Green Mountain/International Paper cup is lined with a material made from corn. Separately, Aker has been selected by The Paradigm Companies, one of the Washington area’s leading real estate development firms, for media training and communications counsel.
