New business successes for The Jeffrey Group, Widmeyer, JS2 Communications, Workhouse, Dukas, JG Black Book.

SÃO PAULO—Bayer and Johnson & Johnson have awarded additional business to The Jeffrey Group’s Brazil operation. Johnson & Johnson selected TJG to take on its OTC and women’s health units in addition to existing retainer relationships in oral care and corporate communications. Bayer CropScience expanded its current engagement with the agency to include a multiyear key customer relationship program that the agency helped develop. The Jeffrey Group Brazil already does corporate communications work for Bayer Group in addition to product work for Bayer HealthCare.

WASHINGTON, DC—Widmeyer Communications’ New York City office has added four national and local non-profits to its client roster. Harlem RBI serves more than 1,000 boys and girls year-round through youth development programs, and Widmeyer will provide event support, media relations outreach, social media counsel and press material development. The firm will provide strategic communications counsel, message development, social media counsel and media relations for Leveraging Investments in Creativity, LINC is a 10-year national initiative to improve artists’ ability to make work, build social capital and contribute to democratic values. And Math for America has hired Widmeyer to communicate the value of the MfA program to a broader audience. The firm’s PreK-12 team also recently started an engagement with PENCIL, a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting the business community with New York City public schools.

LOS ANGELES—JS2 Communications is representing the off-Broadway play Tricks The Devil Taught Me. The new play, written and directed by Tony Georges, will open this summer at the Minetta Lane Theatre in Greenwich Village.

NEW YORK—Workhouse has been selected by design and concept firm AvroKO as agency-of-record. The firm will develop integrated promotional campaigns that synchronize communication efforts for AvroKO and will execute a comprehensive public relations plan for domestic publicity and special events.

NEW YORK—Dukas Public Relations will provide ongoing public relations counsel to Venture for America, a new charitable organization that encourages entrepreneurship among college grads to aid struggling cities across the US.

NEW YORK—JG Black Book of Travel, a hospitality consulting firm that provides public relations and other services, has added Lake Placid Lodge, Sol & Luna lodge spa, Cristallo Hotel Spa & Golf and Volcanoes Safaris to its travel roster.
