Canadian National Railway, Canada’s largest freight railroad, is working with Hill & Knowlton Chicago, plus new business successes for Schwartz Communications, French/West/Vaughan, Gable PR and j. simms agency.

CHICAGO—Canadian National Railway, Canada’s largest freight railroad, is working with Hill & Knowlton Chicago, which is providing government relations and community support for an approved $300 million freight rail line project. In addition, TravisDavid, a virtual market for unique home décor and fine furnishings, signed on H&K to assist the Dallas Fort Worth-based company in its efforts to raise awareness and funds in support of Autism Speaks.


WALTHAM, MA—Schwartz Communications has been selected by Kimberly-Clark Health Care, the medical device business segment of Kimberly-Clark Corporation, as its public relations agency of record. The account will be managed by Schwartz's medical device and diagnostics practice and will be led out of the agency's Waltham, Mass., office.

RALEIGH, NC—House-Autry Mills, a producer of chicken and seafood breaders, corn meal, and hush puppy, biscuit and corn bread mixes that celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2012,  is engaging French/West/Vaughan to redefine the brand for a new generation of home cooks. The agency was carefully selected following a two-month competitive review. The firm’s effort will include fresh creative and broadcast, print and online advertising, as well as public relations, promotional events and sponsorships, and social networking, all designed to connect with the brand’s core and emerging consumers.


SAN DIEGO—Fisher & Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm, has selected Gable PR to develop and implement a comprehensive public relations and branding program for its San Diego office. “We believe the time is right to build additional awareness for our firm and the fine work our attorneys do for our clients,” says Christopher Hoffman, managing partner of the San Diego office. “Gable PR was selected to support our growth plans because of its experience with the legal profession, strong media relations capabilities and long history in the community.”

The agency’s Raleigh-Durham office engaged Alexan North Hills and Millennium Auto Group for text-message services and renewed a sponsor text campaign with the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes. Fiesta de Reyes, Liberty Station,, El Fandango restaurant and Hot Licks are the latest text- message clients in the San Diego area.
