IRVINE, CA—Asolva, a leading provider of business process management solutions, has engaged MWW Group to manage its corporate communications and to position the company as the premier provider of innovative technology to improve patient care and responsiveness. MWW will develop and implement a communications plan to increase awareness of the company, its products and messaging to the healthcare, government and education markets and to position Asolva and its executives as industry experts.

SAN FRANCISCO—The Bateman Group has been selected as PR agency of record for North America by Panda Security, one of the world’s largest providers of IT security solutions. The Bateman Group will be responsible strategic communications counsel; international PR program management; positioning and message development; writing services; industry analyst relations; business, financial, technology trade and vertical market media outreach; social media programs; speaker placement; award pursuits; and product evaluations. The account will be serviced out of the San Francisco office. Fred Bateman, president and CEO, and Bill Bourdon, managing director, will co-lead the team.

ATLANTA—William Mills Agency, a public relations agency serving the financial services industry, has been selected by Customer Effective, a value-added reseller of Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management, to guide its public relations strategy and promote brand recognition.

ALBANY, NY—Sawchuk Brown Associates has added Albany Pro Musica to its client roster. The firm will help Albany Pro Musica reinforce its presence as one of the premier choral groups in the Capital Region, as well as promote the High School Choral Festival in March and the Brahms Requiem in April.

ATLANTA—Arketi Group, a high-tech business-to-business marketing and public relations firm, has been selected by StatCom, a leading provider of hospital patient flow logistics and tracking software, as agency of record.  Arketi has been tasked with developing a thought leadership campaign to showcase StatCom’s advanced patient flow process and how it improves hospital-wide communication, patient throughput and capacity management.

NEW YORK—The Morris + King Company has been retained by media studies scholar Jeffrey Scheuer to promote his most recent book: The Big Picture: Why Democracies Need Journalistic Excellence, published by Routledge Press in Fall 2007. MKC will develop and execute a public relations campaign designed to heighten interest in the book while raising awareness of the issues explored in the text.

NEW YORK—Trylon SMR has been selected by Countdown Entertainment on a project basis to handle public relations for its New Year’s Eve 2008 event coverage from Times Square. Countdown produces behind-the-scenes and live coverage of the Times Square 2008 festivities.
