Information services company Hoover’s has hired Kwittken & Company as its U.S. agency of record. Kwittken’s will focus on helping Hoover’s communicate its leadership in providing comprehensive company data and search and utilization tools.

NEW YORK—Information services company Hoover’s has hired Kwittken & Company as its U.S. agency of record. Kwittken’s will focus on helping Hoover’s communicate its leadership in providing comprehensive company data and search and utilization tools in one integrated platform. The firm will concentrate on strategic media relations, corporate communications and enhancing Hoover’s thought leadership profile by promoting the Hoover’s Index, a benchmark that measures interest among business professionals in specific companies.

SAN FRANCISCO—Web 2.0 start-ups Baynote and Spotplex have selected The Bateman Group as their public relations agency of record. Bateman will provide Baynote and Spotplex with a full spectrum of public relations services, including day-to-day strategic counsel; message development; writing services; corporate brand building; business, IT trade and vertical market media outreach; blogger relations; and thought leadership programs such as speaking and awards pursuits. Baynote offers content guidance software that dynamically displays product and content recommendations on business websites. Spotplex is an online content aggregation service that provides a real-time, impartial ranking of stories using a unique algorithm-based measuring system.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ—Toy distributor International Playthings has tapped R&J Public Relations as its public relations agency of record. R&J has been tasked with developing and executing a comprehensive campaign to promote the company’s proprietary and distributed brands, which include a variety of award-winning games, infant toys, preschool toys, dolls, educational toys and activity toys.
