PARSIPPANY, NJ—Coyne Public Relations has been named public relations agency of record for the National Canine Research Council, an organization committed to research that promotes a better understanding of our relationship with dogs. Coyne PR will work with the NCRC to develop a public relations campaign to raise awareness of the organization’s mission and industry-leading research projects.

IRVINE, CA—Citizen Relations has been named the new agency of record for travel brand Rocky Mountaineer and will be handling its public relations across North America. The account will be managed out of Citizen’s Vancouver and Irvine offices with support from Toronto, Montreal and New York. According to Shannon Kidd, senior manager of global communications for Rocky Mountaineer, “We selected Citizen as our new PR agency for their creativity, innovation and strategic work in the travel sector.”

MINNEAPOLIS—Lamps Plus, a leading specialty lighting retailer, has selected Spong to serve as its public relations agency of record to implement a consumer and professional media program. Spong will drive a leadership insights program for consumer and trade media to increase awareness of Lamps Plus as a destination for quality lighting, furniture and home décor, as well as a world-class designer resource. The firm will also develop and implement a corporate branding program. Spong will serve as agency of record, while RPpr will continue to work with the brand focused on its designer relations.
 
SAN JOSE, CA—McGrath/Power Public Relations & Communications has been selected by Ubiquity as its US agency of record and by IDA Ireland to highlight business expansion opportunities for West Coast-based companies in the technology, biotechnology and life sciences markets.
