TROY, [email protected] Detroit office has won a handful of new clients including smart USA, National Transportation Week (Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau), a major tier-one automotive supplier and an international business advisory firm. [email protected] has been named agency of record for smart USA, a subsidiary of United AutoGroup, prividing media relations support for a 50-city, six-month road show this summer to introduce consumers to the new smart fortwo microcar that will be sold in the United States in early 2008. And [email protected] was hired by the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau to provide media and event planning support for National Transportation Week, a federally designated, weeklong celebration of transportation in Detroit.

NEW YORK—Articulate Communications has added five new clients, serving as the agency of record for CDC Games, a sister company to longtime Articulate client CDC Software and a market leader of online and mobile games in China; CounterStorm, which provides network security and defense; RecycleBank, a market-driven rewards program that motivates people to recycle; Restricted Stock Systems, a provider of insider trading software and services to brokerage firms and publicly traded companies; and Rogue Wave Software, which provides reusable software components and services to professional developers.

NEW YORK—MWW Group has added MyWinesDirect.com, a leading online retailer of wines from small, limited production wineries, to its client roster. MWW Group will work with MyWinesDirect.com to expand brand recognition among its consumer audiences. Activities will include a media relations campaign targeted at lifestyle, general interest, news, travel and epicurean publications. Additionally, MWW Group will work closely with MyWinesDirect.com in the next few months to develop and execute interactive online campaigns.

CHICAGO—Sidney Maxwell Public Relations has been retained by the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago to launch the Walter Payton Liver Center. SMPR will develop an integrated communications campaign to cultivate initial awareness of the WPLC and shift attitudes about liver and lower abdominal diseases.

ALBANY, NY—Sawchuk Brown Associates has added Townsend Leather to its client roster. Sawchuk Brown will help Townsend Leather promote its national and international aviation leather and luxury interior leather upholstery business, as well as launch a partnership with 3M Scotchgard to exclusively use an environmentally friendly stain protector on Townsend products.

BOSTON—Greenough Communications has been selected by Agilix Labs and will work with the company to build awareness of its next generation e-learning solutions that enhance educational computing initiatives and empower teachers to engage students more effectively.
