CooperKatz & Company has added four new companies to its client roster, plus new business success for Allison & Partners, Zapwater, Morris + King, Wagner/Junker Agency and Burditch Marketing Communications.

NEW YORK—CooperKatz & Company has added four new companies to its client roster. The new clients, which span the consumer products/services, professionals services and business-to-business sectors, include, a source of care options for families; DiscoverReady, a provider of discovery management and fixed-fee document review services to the legal profession; Gap International, a global management consultancy that partners with executives of Global 500 companies in creating breakthrough growth strategies; and Otis Elevator, a leading manufacturer and maintainer of people-moving products including elevators, escalators and moving walkways.


LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles Sparks of the Women’s National Basketball Association has selected Allison & Partners as its public relations agency of record. The agency will assist with strategy and increasing visibility for community outreach efforts on behalf of the Sparks. Allison & Partners will also employ its social impact practice to help the team set a focused strategic direction for its cause marketing and community relations efforts.


CHICAGO—Zapwater Communications has been retained by The Arboretum of South Barrington, a 600,000 square-foot retail center that opened in September 2008. Zapwater has been tapped to oversee ongoing local and national media relations, the development and implementation of events, ongoing management of collaborations and partnerships, and assist with various marketing initiatives and social media efforts. The firm has also been tapped to handle ongoing public relations for GreenLaces, an organization dedicated to helping save the planet through the sale of environmentally friendly shoelaces. Zapwater will oversee media relations, social media, and partnership sourcing and development for GreenLaces. The agency will also continue to position the organization and its founder, Natalie Spilger, as “green” leaders.

NEW YORK—The Morris + King Company has been retained by newly launched Scarpasa, an online source for stylish flats, sandals, boots and low and mid-heeled shoes handpicked from independent designers across the globe. As Scarpasa’s agency-of-record, MKC will develop and execute a comprehensive public relations campaign that will tap the diverse strengths of MKC in the lifestyle, luxury and consumer sectors, while also capitalizing on the capabilities of SeisMK, MKC’s digital and social media division.


LOS ANGELES—Wagner/Junker Agency has been named social media and PR agency of record for dancer Michael Flatley, who gained fame with The Riverdance. In Las Vegas, The Siegel Group, a commercial real estate investment and business development company, has retained WJA to work on all branding, marketing, creative, social media, public relations and advertising duties. 

SAN FRANCISCO—Burditch Marketing Communications has added six new clients to its roster of leading luxury and lifestyle businesses in the fields of hospitality, tourism, culinary arts and viticulture, including Blackbird Vineyards; Orient Express hotels; Burger Kitchen, LA’s  newest gourmet burger restaurant; and Porfidio Tequila.
