NEW YORK, January 8—Adam Friedman Associates, an investor relations and corporate communications firm launched two years ago by former KCSA Worldwide executive Adam Friedman, has expanded its crisis communications capabilities with two senior hires, Steven Goldberg and Alexander Goldsmith, who will broaden the firm’s crisis expertise and further develop its bankruptcy and restructuring communications practice.

“In today’s difficult economic climate, more and more companies will look to experienced advisors for help in negotiating the complex communications challenges that bankruptcy and reorganization present,” says Friedman. “Steven and Alex’s proven experience advising companies facing adverse situations including bankruptcies, restructurings and other corporate crises will be valuable resources to AFA’s clients.”

Goldberg is an attorney who has specialized in bankruptcy, restructuring and creditors’ rights. He was most recently an associate at Otterbourg Steindler Houston & Rosen, where he represented commercial banking institutions in transactions, restructurings and bankruptcy proceedings. Previously, he worked at Curtis Mallet-Prevost Colt & Mosle and Kaye Scholer.
Prior to joining AFA, Goldsmith was an engagement director in the New York office of Agency.com, an e-business consulting firm. Previously, he spent four years in the corporate communications practice at Hill & Knowlton where he specialized in crisis communications and issues management.
