Peter Block has returned to National Public Relations to lead the financial communication service offering; plus new people in new roles at GolinHarris, Olson Communications, and 360 Public Relations.

TORONTO—Peter Block has returned to the Toronto office of National Public Relations to lead the financial communication service offering. Block has worked on some of the largest and most complex financial transactions in Canada including M&As, proxy battles, restructurings and plans of arrangement and has done considerable work in stakeholder engagement, particularly in connection with infrastructure and energy developments. He spent five years with National in Toronto before moving to the firm’s Calgary office for three years. He spent the last two years running National’s affiliated agency, Cohn & Wolfe, in Toronto.


CHICAGO—GolinHarris has promoted Debbie Harvey to senior vice president. Harvey is based in Chicago and is a member of the offices’ healthcare team. In her new role, Harvey will continue to lead and manage the agency’s advocacy work for Boehringer Ingelheim, as well as provide strategic counsel to other healthcare clients and teams. During her six years at GolinHarris, she has led and contributed to accounts including Johnson & Johnson, Alcon and Shire.


SCOTTSDALE, AZ—Olson Communications has promoted Amanda Fier to account manager. Fier joined Olson three years ago, after serving seven and a half years as a national journalist and editor. She started her career in 2000 as a staff writer for Better Homes and Gardens Special Interest Publications in Des Moines, Iowa, relocating to the Phoenix area in 2003 to work for locally based Arizona Foothills and Estates West magazines. At Olson, she oversees work for Sundt Construction, Woodbine Southwest, Hidden Meadow Ranch, Kimpton’s FireSky Resort & Spa and Rainbow Ryders Hot Air Balloon Company.


BOSTON—360 Public Relations has promoted four staff members:  Caroline Pierce to account director, Caitlin Melnick and Brittany Welch to account supervisors, and Brett Cerf to senior account executive. Pierce has been with the agency five years and is an account director in 360PR’s parenting practice, working with Dorel Juvenile Group and Isis Parenting.
