New people in new roles at Story Partners, Purple Strategies and RockOrange.

WASHINGTON, DC—Story Partners has hired Carrie Blewitt as senior vice president. Blewitt has worked with a variety of corporate and nonprofit clients including Pratt & Whitney, Huntington Ingalls Industries, Keep America Beautiful, Operation Hope, DC Energy, American Automobile Association, the Rubber Manufacturers Association, the Business Software Alliance and Household Finance Corporation. Prior to joining Story Partners, Blewitt served as a managing director with Qorvis, where she spent 11 years. 

WASHINGTON, DC - Purple Strategies has added John Mercurio and Cynthia Case to its public relations team. Mercurio will join Purple as a managing director from Burson-Marsteller, where he was a senior director in the public affairs and crisis practice. Prior to Burson-Marsteller, he was executive editor and led the editorial staff of online political digest The Hotline and spent three years as CNN’s political editor. Case joins after working with The World Bank Group for the past 18 years as a broadcast news officer and media relations consultant. 

MIAMI—Ray Muñoz, previously a senior manager at Coral Gables-based marketing firm kabookaboo, has been named senior director, agency operations, with RockOrange, focused on the organizational and structural aspects of the agency. Former reporter and editor David Quiñones, previously managing editor of Poder Hispanic Magazine and recently the digital news editor at Fusion, joins as vice president, editorial and content. And Mahogani Jones brings experience with Burger King and ADT to her new role as director of new business development and marketing activations.
