CHICAGO—Current Lifestyle Marketing, a specialist agency that is part of The Interpublic Group of Companies, has promoted Virginia Devlin to president. Formerly the firm’s general manager, Devlin has been responsible for spearheading the development of Current since its inception more than three years ago, opening a New York office (adding to locations in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco), recruiting senior level talent, expanding offerings in digital and social marketing, and growing its client base. Devlin spent nine years at IPG agency Weber Shandwick prior to starting Current.


BOSTON—Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications has named Justine Griffin as principal in the firm. Griffin has been with Rasky Baerlein since 2004, and serves as practice group leader for the crisis and litigation communications practice. Crisis and litigation communications is a specialty of the firm, and Griffin and her team have worked with clients on civil and criminal cases, government investigations, and a range of high profile business disputes.


WASHINGTON, D.C.—Outreach Strategies, a public affairs firm focused on advocacy communications, issues management, stakeholder engagement and media relations, has hired Senate energy and natural resources committee press secretary David Marks as vice president. Marks served on the committee for the past five years, most recently as press secretary and on-the-record spokesperson for its chairman, Sen. Jeff Bingaman. 


LOS ANGELES—Frederic Rosen, former president and chief executive of Ticketmaster Group from 1982 to 1998, has joined Englander Knabe & Allen as a senior counselor. In addition to being a senior counselor for EK&A, Rosen serves as a director of a number of non-profit organizations. He is a board member of the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission and the Wallis Annenberg Cultural Center in Beverly Hills and a member of the board of governors of Cedars Sinai Medical Center.


NEW YORK—Dawn Lauer has joined MWW Group as vice president in the firm's corporate communications practice. Lauer, who began her career at MWW Group in 1999, brings more than 10 years of experience leading and executing strategic communications campaigns across a variety of industries including healthcare, financial and professional services, B2B and higher education. Prior to joining MWW Group, Lauer was management supervisor in the corporate communications and digital divisions at Peppercom and earlier she worked as an account supervisor at GCI Group.


RALEIGH, NC—Capstrat has hired Angela Connor as social media manager. Connor is author of 18 Rules of Community Engagement, a guide for building relationships and connecting with customers online. She has nearly 15 years of experience working in television news rooms across the mid-atlantic region and was most recently managing editor of GOLO, the local online hosted community for WRAL.COM.

FT. LAUDERDALEFish Consulting has promoted Chad Cohen to vice president and hired Stephanie Goldman as an account director and Amanda Rich as an account manager. Cohen has been with Fish Consulting since the firm’s inception in 2004, and in his new role as vice president, he will help oversee client services for the agency while continuing his direct work on accounts such as Baskin-Robbins, Firehouse Subs, Checkers and Salad Creations. Cohen also helps lead Fish Consulting’s social media efforts and will continue to provide media relations support and strategic planning to all of the firm’s clients.
