LOS ANGELES—Ogilvy Public Relations has appointed Jennifer Banovetz to senior vice president, brand marketing group director. Banovetz will oversee the growth and strategic direction of the firm's work with major consumer accounts in the Western Region. Most recently, she was a senior vice president in the consumer brand practice at Edelman Los Angeles. Previously, Banovetz was in Edelman's Chicago office, and worked at Cohn & Wolfe and in-house for Mazda North American operations.

LOS ANGELES—Jocelyn Robinson has joined Lagrant Communications as vice president, community engagement. Based in Denver, Robinson will be responsible for developing and maintaining community partnerships for the agency’s clients and for new business development in Colorado. Robinson had served as the manager of Denver’s division of small business opportunity certification department; manager of the Denver Business Assistance Center; and office manager for the Mayor’s office of workforce development.

CHICAGO—Public Communications Inc. has welcomed Pamela Oettel as chief financial/operations officer and a principal in the firm. Prior to joining PCI, Oettel was an operations leader at Xerox Corporation, the world’s leading enterprise for business process and document management, where, she led a team that provided specialized administrative support to 11 major account customers with $300 million in annual revenue. She has also worked at General Electric where she held multiple financial and operations positions.

WASHINGTON, DC—Qorvis MSLGroup has promoted Shereen Soghier to senior vice president. Soghier, who has been with the agency for 14 years, will join the senior leadership team and direct international accounts from her office in the Middle East. She joined the firm 14 years ago from the newsroom at ABC News' Washington, DC, bureau. In addition, Jessica Bayer and Katherine Brick have been promoted to vice president.

NEW YORK—Cohn & Wolfe has added Laura Giannatempo and Zach Perles, both named senior vice presidents, consumer, and members of the agency’s digital leadership team. Giannatempo will manage multiple account teams with a focus on food and beverage clients, joining from RF¦Binder. Perles will supervise lifestyle client teams having previously served as vice president, global marketing and communications for Prince Sports.

LOS GATOS, CA—Gutenberg Communications, a leading strategic communications firm, has added Jeff Platón as chief marketing officer and executive vice president, marketing services practice. He will be focused on driving new and organic business growth and providing senior marketing counsel to a Gutenberg clients. While previously at Cisco for 12 years, Platón led the development of the global marketing and go-to-market strategy for enterprise solutions and IT security solutions.

WASHINGTON, DC—Environics Communications has hired Jake Lynn as a vice president. Prior to joining Environics, Lynn was communications manager at Lockheed Martin Corporation for its energy, environment, safety & health corporate initiative.
