JSH&A Public Relations has promoted Deanna Killackey and Cheryl Georgas to vice presidents, plus new people in new roles at Weber Shandwick, Catapult PR-IR, and Stratacomm.

OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL—JSH&A Public Relations has promoted Deanna Killackey and Cheryl Georgas to vice presidents. During her seven-year tenure with the company, Killackey has worked on strategic programs for many of the agency’s marquee clients, including Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Midas International and McDonald’s. She also oversees the agency’s growing Social LIF function, developing and managing social media tools for various clients. Since joining the agency in 2007, Georgas has managed The Hershey Company account, one of the agency’s largest clients. In addition, Georgas oversees JSH&A’s training and recruiting initiatives.


MINNEAPOLIS—Weber Shandwick has promoted Julie Hurbanis to executive vice president in the firm’s consumer marketing practice. Prior to joining Weber Shandwick in 1999, Hurbanis oversaw the development, execution and evaluation of a number of U.S. and global campaigns for GolinHarris in Chicago.

BOULDER, CO—Catapult PR-IR has promoted Mary Cochran to director of marketing and social media. Cochran will continue to support the increased use of social media as part of the public relations mix. Since joining Catapult in 2000, Cochran has successfully helped promote more than 85 businesses with her expertise in marketing and project management, including website management and search optimization. Before joining Catapult, Cochran spent several years as vice president of Growth Management Center, a California-based consulting firm, where she developed computer, administrative and human resource processes.


TROY, MI—Stratacomm has added Carey Osmundson and Rita Sitto as an account supervisor and account executive respectively in its Detroit office. The agency also promoted Kristin Calandro Tyll to vice president and Karah Street to account supervisor.
