NEW YORK—Amy Cofone has joined Emanate as director, integrated marketing, in the agency’s New York office. Cofone came to Emanate from sister agency Ketchum, where she led integrated teams for IKEA, Norelco, AVENT and Kodak and served as North America relationship manager for Philips. In her role at Emanate, Cofone will continue her work with Philips, while overseeing integrated marketing activations for a variety of the agency’s clients.

BOSTON—Weber Shandwick has promoted Paul Andrew to executive vice president in the firm’s global corporate and issues management practice. Andrew has been instrumental in leading growth initiatives for the firm’s Boston office. He provides message, crisis and corporate communications counsel to a number of global organizations. In addition, he has deep expertise in academia and leads the firm’s higher education specialty area.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—Brian Hague has joined MWW Group as vice president, public affairs, at the firm’s East Rutherford headquarters, where he will focus on issues management, crisis communications, strategic messaging and government affairs outreach for MWW’s clients. Hague comes to MWW with 15-years of experience. He started his career as a newspaper reporter for the Newark Star-Ledger before joining the New Jersey Assembly Democratic office in Trenton. He also served as Chief of staff and director of communications for Bergen County executive Dennis McNerney.

NEW YORK—– Proof Integrated Communications, the marketing, communications and advertising agency that operates as part of Burson-Marsteller, has appointed David Wertheimer as chief strategy officer, responsible for new business development, product strategy, company positioning and marketing. Prior to joining Proof, Wertheimer was founding CEO of Canopy Commerce, a startup ecommerce agency owned by Alexander Interactive.

NEW YORK—Montieth & Company has appointed financial services veteran Amy Williams as senior associate. Williams will work across all four of the firm’s practice groups: marketing communications, corporate and financial communications, litigation communications, issues and crisis management. She mostly recently served as a relationship manager at Dealogic, developing and managing frontline relationships with senior level investment banking clients. Earlier, she worked at Bloomberg for three years as a sales representative and account manager.

WASHINGTON, DC—Dan Hill, who spent the last seven years running Washington operations for international aerospace and defense company AgustaWestland, has joined business development and government relations firm Ervin Technical Associates, which has changed its named to Ervin | Hill Strategy and will now also offer integrated communications and public affairs services.

JACKSONVILLE, FL—Jaffe PR, a specialist in law firm public relations, has promoted Vivian Hood (pictured) to executive vice president, client services. With more than 15 years of law firm media relations experience, Hood provides counsel on litigation PR and crisis matters.
