Dee Anna McPherson has been promoted to partner at The Horn Group, plus new people in new positions at John Bailey & Associates, Rasky Baerlein, and 919 Marketing Company.

SAN FRANCISCO—Dee Anna McPherson has been promoted to partner at The Horn Group. McPherson leads Horn Group’s San Francisco office in client service, business development and operations. Before joining the firm, she was the head of PeopleSoft public relations where she oversaw the corporate, product and industries programs and led the public relations efforts surrounding the company's acquisition of J.D. Edwards and Oracle's hostile takeover attempt.


TROY, MI—John Bailey & Associates has enhanced its in-house news coverage analysis capabilities, hiring Julie Martin as news coverage analysis specialist at the agency. Prior to joining JB&A, Martin was with Volkswagen of America for 13 years where she developed, produced and distributed daily corporate news briefs, created databases for news coverage analysis and produced coverage reports including analysis of the stories. She also is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer in her spare time.


WASHINGTON, D.C.—Dave Tamasi has joined Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications as senior vice president to lead our Washington, D.C. office. He joins Rasky Baerlein from Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in Washington, D.C., and joins chairman Larry Rasky and senior vice president Mike Gorman in expanding the firm's D.C. practice group. Earlier in his career, Tamasi was a Washington, D.C. correspondent for the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune, covering national politics, Congress and the federal government.


TRIANGLE, NC—919 Marketing Company, a marketing and public relations agency, has opened a satellite in the nation’s capital. The new Washington, D.C. office will be headed by 919 account supervisor, Alison Beckwith, who manages several of the agencies’ major clients including KDI Health Solutions, BioSignia, and Capital Associated Industries.
