Beckerman has hired Michelle Maskaly as social media coordinator, plus new people in new roles at Greenough Communications, Maroon PR and Tierney.

HACKENSACK, NJ—Beckerman has hired Michelle Maskaly as social media coordinator. Maskaly joins Beckerman after recently serving as a news editor for Fox News Channel's where she wrote and produced breaking news and was responsible for story placement and overall presentation for the website. Earlier, she worked with the Gannett New Jersey chain of publications including The Home News Tribune and The Ocean County Observer before accepting a position with the Staten Island Advance.


BOSTON—Greenough Communications has hired Jennifer Hrycyszyn as a new vice president. Hrycyszyn was formerly a vice president in the Dallas office of international public relations firm GolinHarris where she managed the Texas Instruments account. She also served as marketing and communications vice president for TeenLife Media, a new media company that connects teens with student programs.

COLUMBIA, MD—Maroon PR has named Matt Williams vice-president of business development. Williams will focus his efforts primarily in the Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia markets. He previously served as the executive vice-president and chief of staff for Washington Sports & Entertainment for more than two decades. Earlier, he was the director of communications for the Washington Bullets of the NBA, publicity coordinator for Centre Management’s Musicentre Productions and a member of the PR department for the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks.


PHILADELPHIA—Tierney has added four new digital hires in its Philadelphia office. Keith Bowman has been named associate creative director and will provide creative oversight for all digital projects reporting to executive creative director, Patrick Hardy. Bowman is a veteran of Digitas, Red Tetttemer, TMX and Blue Diesel. In addition, Tim O’Malley was named search engine marketing manager; Chris Bodanza has been named senior web developer; and Melisa Gonzalez was named digital project manager.
