AMD Taps Wagg Ed for Microprocessor Launch

AMD, a global supplier of integrated circuits for the personal and networked computer and communications markets, has selected Waggener Edstrom to help support the introduction of its upcoming AMD Opteron and AMD Athlon processors.

AUSTIN—AMD, a global supplier of integrated circuits for the personal and networked computer and communications markets, has selected Waggener Edstrom to help support the introduction of its upcoming AMD Opteron and AMD Athlon processors based on Hammer technology. The Austin-based Waggener Edstrom team will drive awareness for the new microprocessors, expected to usher in an era of mainstream 64-bit computing.

Account manager John Taylor will spearhead the AMD account team, with additional support from veteran PR counselors throughout the agency. Waggener Edstrom will provide strategic support in the areas of executive speaker placement and global event planning and execution.
