SAN FRANCISCO—High-tech public relations specialist Applied Communications has been selected as lead public relations consultancy to E.piphany, a leader in “Smart CRM” software. Applied will work with E.piphany to showcase its leadership in real-time analytics and advance its CRM position. E.piphany will draw on the full range of Applied’s planning, communications research, public policy and analyst and media relations services.

IT consultancy Aberdeen Group Inc reported that in 2001 corporations worldwide spent more than $4 billion on analytical CRM, which includes infrastructure, tools and applications. Aberdeen expects that number to grow to nearly $11 billion by 2005.
