New people in new roles at Hill+Knowlton Strategies; new business success for GolinHarris, Bite.

DELHI—Hill+Knowlton Strategies has appointed Vinod Moorthy, a member of the H+K Strategies team since 2007, as senior vice president, North India, and APAC regional corporate practice leader, based in the firm’s Gurgaon office. Devasis Chattopadhay, who joined H+K Strategies in early 2013, has been promoted to VP, West India with responsibility for the Mumbai operations and the growth of the finance practice across India.

HONG KONG—Global imaging and optical product manufacturer Canon has appointed GolinHarris to handle its strategic corporate communications in 2014. The 12-month retainer includes a strong CSR component, with the agency set to provide strategic directive. The retainer will include strategic consultation, planning, and corporate branding and messaging, to continue to position Canon as a leader in the imaging industry in Hong Kong.

SYDNEY—Bite has been tasked with launching the Australian social communities for Brother International and has hired integrated marketing expert Fiona Stewart. This latest campaign will focus initially on building Brother’s presence across Facebook followed by the launch of an Instagram community. Stewart will serve as manager, integrated marketing, having previously worked at Bite’s Glasgow office.
