Shijun Ma has joined Eastwei Shanghai as director, supporting development of the corporate practice, plus new business for Blue Lotus and a new hire at Waggener Edstrom.

SHANGHAI—Shijun Ma has joined Eastwei Shanghai as director, supporting development of the corporate practice, which has grown rapidly over the last two years, serving clients such as P&G, Kraft and Best Buy. He brings more than 12 years of corporate and media experience to the firm. Starting his career as a news program producer at Shanghai TV Station, he has been account leader for Mars, GM, Philips, Coca-Cola, SPX, and other corporate clients, most recently as head of Shanghai operations for multinational agency MS&L.

 

PUNE—Blue Lotus Communications has been selected to provide public relations support to Paramount Airways, a luxury airline that operates a five-aircraft fleet with 72 flights carrying over 3600 passengers daily. Paramount plans to start hubs in North, West and East to cater to tier I and II cities in India.

SINGAPORE—Waggener Edstrom Worldwide has added Meilin Wong Sandberg as client development director for the Asia Pacific region. She will be based in the WE Singapore office and will work as part of a global team to drive growth across the region, using her wealth of public relations experience and industry expertise to identify business needs and develop effective communications strategies. Joining WE after spending 11 years in the public relations industry, Wong Sandberg previously was strategic acquisition manager of global corporate services at American Express
