SEATTLE—Avanade, a global technology consultancy joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture specializing in enterprise solutions based on the Microsoft platform, has selected Edelman as its agency of record following a competitive review. The account will be part of the business marketing and technology practice and will be managed from Edelman’s Seattle, Chicago and Toronto offices.

Founded in April 2000, Avanade offers customers IT solutions designed to help them increase revenue, reduce costs and reinvest in innovation for competitive advantage.

According to Adam Warby, executive vice president, Avanade, “Edelman brings extensive experience in helping technology companies improve their brand image in the marketplace through innovative communications and thought leadership programs.”

Edelman will execute a comprehensive public relations program including strategic positioning through thought leadership, strategic partnership development and stakeholder relationship-building to raise awareness of the Avanade brand and increase the company’s recognition in the global IT consulting space. Key elements of the program include media and analyst relations, company award recognition and customer communications.
