EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—MWW Group has hired Tom Biro as director of new media strategies. Biro will head MWW’s recently re-branded new media practice DialogueMedia (formerly known as Blog 360°), which provides MWW and its clients with the ability to develop specialized programs including blogs, podcasts, wiki, mobile marketing and other new media programs.

In conjunction with the launch of MWW’s DialogueMedia practice, the firm has started a new blog, Open the Dialogue, which Biro will author. Open the Dialogue will focus on the world of new media, including commentary on blog usage in business, new media tools and other relevant communications topics. It is MWW’s second blog, following one authored by CEO Michael Kempner.

Prior to MWW, Biro worked as a leading blogger for his own site themediadrop.com and as a writer for many sites including adjab.com, tvsquad.com and cinematical.com.  He has also done technical consulting and editorial writing for baristanet.com, a local citizen journalism website focused on several New Jersey communities.

Prior to his blogging endeavors, Biro was marketing communications manager with Deutsche Telekom, where he handled trade shows and events, email marketing campaigns, web site development and media and analyst relations.
