BM Adds Egyptian Affiliate to European Network

Burson-Marsteller has entered into a partnership with Egyptian PR firm Active PR, expanding its relationship with Bates PanGulf, Burson’s exclusive affiliate in the Middle East and North Africa and bolstering its network in a region where it sees rapid growth.

NEW YORK—Burson-Marsteller has entered into a partnership with Egyptian PR firm Active PR, expanding its relationship with Bates PanGulf, Burson’s exclusive affiliate in the Middle East and North Africa and bolstering its network in a region where it sees rapid growth.

Active, led by managing director Mohamed El Koossy, specializes in non-profit integrated communications campaigns and public relations and marketing communications activities “that have at heart the well being of our communities.” Clients include Jotun, Daimler Chrysler, Heinz, Coca Cola, Kodak, Unicef, World Gold Council, US Wheat Associates, Amnesty International and Al Azhar University.

“Egypt is becoming ever more important for our clients in the region and Active PR is an incredibly impressive agency that fits perfectly into our network” says Bates PanGulf chief operating officer Oliver Stelling.

Burson-Marsteller’s operations in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa currently include 16 wholly-owned offices and 49 affiliate offices, together operating in 36 countries.
