WASHINGTON, D.C.— Atlanta-based marketing communications and public relations consultancy Brand Resources Group is moving its headquarters to Washington, D.C., a move it says will support significant business growth within the nation’s capital and surrounding region. As a result, Bob Mullen is named vice president and managing director of BRG’s Atlanta office, a newly created position to support the headquarters transition.

BRG was launched in Atlanta, Ga., in 2001 by public relations veteran Jane Barwis, formerly of Ketchum, and opened its D.C. office in 2004. The decision to move headquarters is in response to the continued substantial growth BRG-D.C. has experienced in the last two years through new business wins with such clients as Rubbermaid Commercial Products, multiple brands within Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and incremental business with national nonprofit Home Safety Council.

“Transitioning BRG headquarters to D.C. is a move that will centrally position the company to better service clients throughout both offices, benefit from business opportunities that the new geographic location affords and tap an entirely new pool of talented professionals to complement Atlanta and DC’s existing staff and strong leadership” says Barwis.

Mullen, an account director with the firm since 2003, is charged with continuing to service BRG’s existing Atlanta client base and sustain the firm’s momentum in the market. He has held positions at agencies including Ketchum and Porter Novelli.
