WHITE PLAINS, NY—ITT Corporation has named Angela Buonocore to lead its corporate relations function, replacing Thomas Martin, who is retiring. Her nomination to become a vice president of ITT will be presented to the company’s board of directors in early March.
In her new role, Buonocore will be a member of the company’s executive council and will be responsible for worldwide brand and reputation management, public relations, employee communications, government affairs, corporate advertising, community relations and corporate philanthropy. She will report to Steven R. Loranger, ITT’s chairman, president and chief executive officer.
Buonocore joins ITT from The Pepsi Bottling Group in Somers, New York, where she served as vice president, corporate communications since 2001. She has been with the Pepsi system since 1994 and in her most recent role was responsible for PBG’s public relations strategy and communication with the organization’s 66,000 employees. She also led the company’s charitable contributions and community efforts through The Pepsi Bottling Group Foundation.
Buonocore’s past experience includes 11 years at the International Business Machines Corporation and five years at General Electric Company in advertising, media relations, publishing, marketing events and employee communications roles.
ITT supplies advanced technology products and services in several growth markets and is a leader in the transport, treatment and control of water, wastewater and other fluids.
