NEW YORK—Burson-Marsteller has expanded its global healthcare practice with the addition of two new directors: Gail Switsky and Beth Rowan. Both will be based in New York and report to Ame Wadler, chair of the practice and its chief strategic officer.
Switsky will manage projects for large multinational healthcare companies in the health technology and dermatology and aesthetics space. Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, she consulted for DeVries Public Relations where she managed consumer healthcare accounts for McNeil Pediatrics and various Proctor & Gamble brands.
Rowan, a media relations strategist and former journalist, has a background in prescription, OTC and consumer products. Previously, she was a senior vice president at Ruder Finn, where she headed the U.S. and global public relations initiatives for Novartis Femara, an aromatase inhibitor for women with advanced breast cancer. Earlier, she was director of national media relations for the March of Dimes.
