Cabot to Lead Food & Nutrition Practice at Edelman

Janet Cabot, a veteran food and nutrition PR practitioner, has joined Edelman’s Chicago office as executive vice president and general manager of the food and nutrition unit in the consumer brands practice.

CHICAGO—Janet Cabot, a veteran food and nutrition PR practitioner, has joined Edelman’s Chicago office as executive vice president and general manager of the food and nutrition unit in the consumer brands practice.

Most recently, Cabot served as an executive vice president at Weber Shandwick, managing consumer PR programs for Kraft, Dairy Management, and Georgia Pacific. Previously, she worked for 10 years at Hill & Knowlton.

Cheryl Cook, a media relations specialist and former journalist, has joined Edelman as the executive vice president to head up the U.S. media services practice, based in Chicago. Cook has held account service and media relations positions at agencies on both coasts including Golin/Harris Communications, Ketchum Public Relations, Porter Novelli and Manning, Salvage and Lee.

Previously, she was the communications manager for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
