ATLANTA—Calysto Communications, an Atlanta-based public relations agency focusing exclusively on telecommunications companies, has launched a semiconductor practice, a new group that will focus on promoting silicon-related innovations in the communications industry.
Calysto has significant experience in the semiconductor market, having worked with companies that offer a wide range of technologies and approaches to chip design, including micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), video compression technology, SiC and SiGe systems and system-on-a-chip. The firm has also helped more than seven semiconductor companies emerge out of stealth mode into the communications market.
“Semiconductors play an integral role in communications equipment ranging from media gateways and IP service switches to wireless phones and PDAs, making the communications industry a key market segment for semiconductor companies,” says Laura Borgstede, chief energizing officer and founder of Calysto Communications. “With our understanding of technical topics such as CMOS and MEMS technology and our focus on the communications market, Calysto’s Semiconductor Practice is ideally positioned to assist these companies in creating and delivering the right message to the communications media.”
