Carlson Names Head of Executive Communication

Twin Cities public relations veteran Leslie Kupchella has joined Carlson Companies as director of executive communications. She reports to Carlson vice president and chief communications officer Kim Olson.

MINNEAPOLIS—Twin Cities public relations veteran Leslie Kupchella has joined Carlson Companies as director of executive communications. She reports to Carlson vice president and chief communications officer Kim Olson and is responsible for developing internal and external communications strategies for Carlson president Curtis Nelson and other executives.

Prior to Carlson, Kupchella worked in Tunheim Partners’ public affairs practice area. Earlier, she served as press secretary to Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty during his first two years in office, and she was press secretary to Senator Norm Colman during his 2002 U.S. Senate race. She also held positions with Dayton Hudson, Alcoa and Rainforest Café.
