CHICAGO—ProChile, the trade commission of Chile, has selected Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide as its global agency of record for a multi-year engagement. Ogilvy will develop communications strategies to position the Chilean country brand in eight countries and will also provide Chile with messaging, media relations, digital communications and digital influence, support and counsel for events, trade shows, partnerships and sponsorships.

"This is the first time ProChile has ever hired an agency for an integrated campaign across the globe," said Oscar Proncoso Munoz, chief of the country image department of ProChile. "We set out to find a public relations partner that has a deep understanding of Chile and our brand and could help us create and execute a leading and innovative campaign. Ogilvy PR's global reach and reputation as the leading branding agency across the globe is key to our success."

The campaign will focus on promoting Chile's leadership in three areas: exports of Chilean products, tourism and promotion of foreign investment.

Led by Ogilvy PR's consumer marketing and corporate practices, the client relationship will be serviced from Ogilvy PR's Chicago, Santiago, London, Beijing, Tokyo, Madrid, Mexico City and Dusseldorf offices.
