LONDON—Friction.TV, an online platform for free speech and debate, has appointed Cohn & Wolfe as lead agency to raise consumer awareness of the brand following a competitive five-way pitch. The website, a “video speaker’s corner,” encourages users to share their thoughts with the world, be challenged and potentially create some friction around a specific issue.

Cohn & Wolfe’s brief focuses on establishing an online presence for Friction.TV and driving traffic to the site. The agency will also be supporting revenue growth by raising the company’s profile by building relationships with key stakeholders, potential advertisers and strategic partners through all media, both online and off-line. The team will be led by Gladys Elia, managing director, business communications and technology.
