NEW YORK—Financial services company CIT Group, with $60 billion in assets under management, has named Anita Contini senior vice president and director of corporate and public affairs. In the newly-created position, Contini will be responsible for designing and implementing CIT’s community and public affairs activities both externally and with employees.
She will work closely with the office of the chairman, the board of directors and key business leaders to bring CIT’s core vision, mission and principles to life through the development and implementation of programs that will strengthen CIT’s commitment and involvement in the markets it serves.
Previously, Contini served as vice president and director of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, where she worked closely with the chairman and president to develop a process and implementation plan for the memorial, cultural and civic programs for the World Trade Center site and Lower Manhattan.
Prior to that, she served as a first vice president of global sponsorships and client events marketing at Merrill Lynch.
