MONTVALE, NJ—Mercedes-Benz USA has appointed Robert Moran as its new director of corporate communications. Moran replaces Geoff Day, who left the company in August, and will lead corporate communications strategies and initiatives for the company's US operations, reporting directly to president and CEO Steve Cannon. A 10-year employee of MBUSA, Moran joined the company in 2003 as manager, product and technology public relations, where he headed related communications activities for the department. His most recent post was product manager of AMG and exclusive vehicles.

NEW YORK—Ralph Lauren Corporation has added David Lauren, executive vice president of advertising, marketing and corporate communications, to its board of directors. David Lauren joined the company in 2001 as chief creative and marketing officer for the company’s e-commerce and media organization. He is currently the president of the Polo Ralph Lauren Foundation and sits on the board of trustees for the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention.

FORT WORTH, TX—Information technologies managed service provider Consuro Managed Technology has hired Lauren Kwedar Cockerell as director of public relations. Ms. Cockerell was previously vice president of Paige Hendricks Public Relations in Fort Worth.
