NOVI, MI—Automotive supplier Cooper Standard has appointed Sharon Wenzl to senior vice president, corporate communications and community affairs, a position on the company's global leadership team. Prior to joining Cooper Standard in 2007, she held several executive positions in the automotive industry, leading human resources and communications for Tower Automotive and holding various positions of increasing responsibility at Freudenberg-NOK.

CHICAGO—DePaul University has selected Linda Blakley as vice president for the office of public relations and communications. She will assume her new role April 1. Blakley, currently assistant vice president for the OPRC, oversees the development and implementation of communications strategies for DePaul. She joined DePaul in 2013, having previously served as executive director at GolinHarris and held in-house roles at Walmart and Sears Roebuck.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—ThinkFun, a leader in educational games, has added Jennifer Viau as director of public relations. Viau joins ThinkFun after a career with the US Department of State, serving most recently as outreach officer the bureau of European and Eurasian affairs. She has also held the position of deputy spokesperson for the bureau of South and Central Asian affairs and served on the Secretary of State's media events team.

NEW YORK—Structure Tone, a leading global construction services provider, has hired Rebecca Leonardis as vice president, marketing and corporate communications. Leonardis joins Structure Tone following a 15-year career with Stantec where she most recently served as regional marketing manager in the Northeast for the consulting engineering and design firm. Prior to joining Stantec, she held public relations and marketing roles at Vollmer Associates, HLW International and Thornton Tomasetti.

PHILADELPHIA—The Wistar Institute, a biomedical research leader in cancer, immunology and infectious diseases has appointed Tara Yates as director of communications. Yates comes to Wistar from Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, where she was director of public affairs in the marketing department.

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL—Playa Resorts Management has promoted Karen Callahan to vice president of marketing and public relations. Callahan leads Playa's US and Canada marketing and public relations team. She has held senior management positions with United Airlines, Renaissance Cruises, Online Vacation Center, Vantage Deluxe World Travel and Regent.
