New people in new roles at the Grocery Manufacturers Association, Antares Pharma, and Kimco Realty.

WASHINGTON, DC—The Grocery Manufacturers Association has appointed Louis Finkel as executive vice president of government affairs. Finkel has 19 years of experience on Capitol Hill, and has served as chief of staff for the US House of Representatives Committee on Science & Technology, and in the government relations office of Exxon Mobil. He currently serves as vice president, federal public affairs group, at McGuireWoods Consulting, where he represents corporate, trade association and not-for-profit clients before Congress and executive branch agencies.

EWING, NJ—Antares Pharma has appointed John “Jack” Howarth as vice president of corporate affairs. Howarth joins Antares from King Pharmaceuticals, where he served as the vice president of investor relations, joining the company through King’s acquisition of Alpharma in 2008. Previously, he held senior leadership positions in investor and media relations at KOS Pharmaceuticals and Elan Corporation.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY—Kimco Realty Corp., a leading owner and operator of neighborhood and community shopping centers, has promoted David Bujnicki, formerly senior director of investor relations, to corporate vice president and vice president of investor relations and corporate communications, reporting to CEO David Henry. Bujnicki retains oversight of investor relations and assumes leadership of marketing and the newly formalized corporate communications function.
