ATLANTA—Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, one of the nation’s largest family dining restaurants, has selected the Atlanta office of Manning Selvage & Lee as its first public relations agency of record. MS&L was chosen after a search including more than 20 national public relations firms.
The decision, announced at Cracker Barrel’s annual managers’ conference at the end of September, comes as the Tennessee-based company celebrates two milestones: its 35th anniversary and surpassing the 500th store mark.
“Over the past 12 months we’ve worked hard to assemble a world-class marketing and communications organization. With the addition of MS&L, we now have a fully-integrated team that can help us build our brand and tell our story strategically for the next 35 years,” says Chris Tomasso, vice president of marketing.
In addition to providing communications strategy and counsel, MS&L will support continued development of the Cracker Barrel concept with a number of strategic initiatives including: brand building, reputation management, corporate communications, new market development and the launch of new products and menus.
