SACRAMENTO—Leading southern California independent Davies, headquartered in Santa Barbara with a growing office in Los Angeles, has opened a Sacramento office to better serve its public affairs and public relations clients.  The Davies office in the state capitol will be led by Robb Rice, senior vice president of public affairs.

“Sacramento is an integral part of our plans to serve our clients in California,” says John Davies, the firm’s founder and chief executive. “Being in the state capitol allows us to better serve our current client base in the region, as well as to expand our reach with new clients in need of our expertise in the capitol and northern California.” said John Davies, the firm’s founder and chief executive officer.

In 2004, Davies expanded its public relations capabilities with the acquisition of Los Angeles-based creative boutique The Blaze Company, which continues to operate under its own brand.  Davies says the firm will continue to explore other strategic partnerships and acquisition opportunities in California and on the East Coast.
